The Creative Writing Concentration of the Center for Fine and Performing Arts is a four-year program designed to provide students with an experiential background in a variety of writing genre while allowing student interest to guide their specialization. Students will focus on fiction, poetry, nonfiction, and scriptwriting, as well as have the opportunity to study the novel, the publication process, and special interest topics such as popular fiction, writing from personal experience, and graphic storytelling. Seniors will prepare a final portfolio and learn strategies for marketing their writing.
